A local bank helps make Rapid City Area Schools a little bit safer places to be.
Wells Fargo Bank answered a request from the Rapid City School District by providing a check for $2,790 to purchase two defibrillators.
The life saving devices are used to restart a person's heart should it stop.
The district is still looking to buy an additional 9 AEDs which prompted Wells Fargo Marketing President Steve Conzet to issue a challenge, "We thought as a financial institution ourselves that it would be good a challenge to have other financial institutions in the area step up & hopefully support the school systems with these life saving devices"
The district is hoping to place the defibrillators in each of the Rapid City elementary schools.
