Pine Ridge woman indicted on meth charges

Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that Victoria Lee Running Hawk, 30, Pine Ridge, was indicted Wednesday by a Pennington County grand jury.

Running Hawk was indicted on one count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, methamphetamine, class 4 felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and/or $20,000 fine and a one year mandatory minimum sentence.

Charges stem from a South Dakota Highway Patrol traffic stop on Interstate 90 in Pennington County, which resulted in the discovery of 40 pounds of methamphetamine.
