
The South Dakota Department of Transportation advises motorists that crews will begin tree clearing operations along U.S. Highway 385 from mile marker 102.3 to mile marker 115.6 (from the Sugar Shack to Tomahawk Golf Course) near Deadwood beginning Sept. 17.
Motorists should watch for equipment and workers near or on the roadway and can expect delays up to 5 minutes.
This project is being done to remove trees and brush adjacent to the highway.
Work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, October 26.
Black Hills Mechanical of Spearfish is the contractor on the $95,000 project.
