Wyoming fire started by railroad

The cause of the Cemetery Fire that led to the evacuation of multiple homes Tuesday September 4th has been determined.

The fire was started by the railroad tracks near Highway 16. According to the Wildland Fire Investigation Report a train passed by minutes before the fire was discovered.

It burned about 235 acres of private land, and the estimated cost of fighting the fire is more than $100,000.

The Cemetery Fire claimed one house and multiple out-buildings.
