Here in South Dakota, Gov. Dennis Daugaard is asking that all flags in the state be flown at half-staff in observance of the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The Pennington County Courthouse and several businesses in and around downtown have lowered their flags to commemorate President Obama's proclamation of Patriot Day.
We also noticed a lot of smaller, new flags being flown from mounted brackets on buildings throughout the city.
