First Annual Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders walk takes place

Posted:

A new awareness walk took place earlier in Rapid City today.

The first Annual Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Walk, or F.A.S.D., took place at General Beadle Elementary this morning. Wes Brown with the F.A.S.D. Center says they are hoping to get more than 50 people to participate. Their goal is to not only raise awareness on the dangers of drinking while pregnant but to raise some money for the center.

The walk is in conjunction with the International F.A.S.D. Awareness Day, which is tomorrow 9–9-12.
