Three people graduated the Northern Hills drug court program in a ceremony at the Meade County Courthouse Tuesday afternoon.
South Dakota Sen. Craig Tieszen gave the keynote address, praising the efforts and results of the drug court program.
Then three women, all mothers, were presented their certificates for completing the year-long program.
All three echoed the senator's praises of the program, and especially the drug court team.
"My initial feeling was that I was going to get out and nothing was going to change," Monet Krol, one of the graduates, told KOTA Territory News after the ceremony. "But this program gave me tremendous hope. They stood behind me and never gave up."
The women were the 24th, 25th, and 26th graduates of the drug court.
There are 21 others currently in the program.
