KOTA reporter assaulted on the job

Posted: Updated:

It's not often that we have to report on one of our own news reporters, but there is an exception.

Our own Katy Urban was covering the final night of Summer Nights downtown.

According to Urban, she was getting ready to record video of the band.  A man who was later identified by police as Damian New Holy, 36, approached her with a knife.  Katy says as she backed away, he continued to pursue her.

New Holy walked away, and Katy ran into the Firehouse Brewing Company for help. New Holy was arrested by police on a charge of aggravated assault.  Police say New Holy's blood alcohol level was 0.31.

Katy was not injured, just a little shaken up, she said.
