Mayor Kooiker plans to present 2013 budget before city council

The Rapid City Council will host three special council meetings this week to discuss the 2013 budget.
The special council meetings will take place Monday, August 13; Tuesday, August 14; and Wednesday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers at the City/ School Administration Center.
Mayor Sam Kooiker will present his $136.7 million, 2013 fiscal year budget proposal at the meetings. The council will discuss the proposal and make a decision. The mayor also plans to present five goals he wants the city to achieve by year 2020.
The meetings aren't limited to city council members; community members are encouraged to attend.
