Bike Week death toll climbs to eight

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says a Belle Fourche man and a Nebraska man are the latest fatalities during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Timothy Mueller, 53, of Bloomfield died when his motorcycle collided with an Honda UTV, driven by John Teigen, age 59, from Belle Fourche. The passenger on the motorcycle, Lori Miller, age 42, from Bloomfield NE, was transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

Teigen was traveling east on S.D. Highway 34 west of Belle Fourche. Teigen received serious injuries. His passenger, Delane Dixon, age 63, from Belle Fourche, also died from his injuries.

This crash is still under investigation and charges are pending against Teigen.
