Rally spreads to Rapid City's improved downtown

Posted:

Sturgis isn't the only place that the rally is happening these days. It definitely seems to be spreading out and this year Rapid City has Main Street Square. Many who are here enjoying downtown come to check out the all new attraction and in turn stop by many local businesses. Bob Fuchs owner of the Fire House Brewery says its another good rally season for them.

"Main Street Square is bringing people in, they are going down, checking out the fountains, going for a walk down through other retail stores. The numbers are looking good a lot of people are coming downtown," says Fuchs.

Tom and Sue Bailey, here from Wisconsin, come to Rapid City every year.

"I've stayed here a few times during the rally, the sites, come back to check it out." say the Bailey's.

"We have seen quite a bit of foot traffic from rally goers downtown and some have even ventured into the square itself," says Executive Director of Main Street Square, Megan Karbowski.

And directors at Main Street Square say they don't have any rally focused events this year, but they are definitely in the works for next years rally.
