Honoring Charles E Clays' Legacy of Service for the Mammoth Site

Posted:

The Mammoth Site is establishing the Charles E. Clay Legacy. The goal is to raise $850,000 by February 28, 2013.

People who are "visionary" don't come around very often – they work hard to benefit others and are unselfish in their ways.  This is how the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs describes Eddie Clay and his "enormous impact" on South Dakota.

Eddie has served over 30 years on the Mammoth Site Board of Directors from 1982 – current. He served as President, from 1984 to 2008. One of Eddie's visions for the Mammoth Site has always been to see it continue to serve as a world-class science center, according to a news release announcing the fund-raising effort in Clay's name.

Eddie stated "I am extremely proud of how the Mammoth Site has grown from the discovery in 1974 to become the world-recognized institution it is today. We have been very
fortunate to have Dr. Larry Agenbroad as our Site Director/Chief Scientist, an active board and talented staff to accomplish so much. It is humbling to have the Charles E. Clay Legacy
established at the Mammoth Site in my honor."

Gifts and pledges can be made online at www.mammothsite.org.
