A Spearfish man is being held without bond on two counts of assault after allegedly threatening to shoot people in the Spearfish Walmart store.
Elliot Bintliff, 26, was arrested Monday. He made his first court appearance Tuesday where Judge Warren Johnson refused to set bail.
The Spearfish man works at Walmart as a shelf stocker. According to court papers, he told one employee that "He wanted to go through the store shooting people." Another employee said he purchased a black mask and combat suit that holds ammo, and bragged about all of his guns.
Lawrence County State's Attorney John Fitzgerald says several firearms were seized from Bintliff's home.
A bond hearing is set for Friday.
