A Montana woman involved in an accident that killed a Rapid City woman has been ticketed.

Lt. Rick Miller with the South Dakota Highway Patrol says 64-year-old Louella Durfey of Big Timber is charged with improper lane change.

Durfey was driving on South Highway 16 when she's accused of crossing traffic in order to exit at Rockerville. Durfey's vehicle struck a motorcycle driven by 38-year-old Christopher Ericks. The motorcycle skidded through the off- ramp and rolled, killing the passenger, 36-year-old Kimberly Ericks.

Christopher suffered non-life threatening injuries. He's listed in fair condition at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

The investigation is on-going. Lt. Miller says the Pennington County State's Attorney's Office now has the case.
