Eight-year-old Ryan Rozett has been planning for his father's arrival for the last three weeks.
"I had him convinced that he was gonna surprise his dad,' said Lyndsey Rozett, Ryan's mother.
Ryan's dad, who is stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base wasn't scheduled to come home until later this month. So, the two headed to "the maze" in Rapid City to pick out the perfect hiding spot. But little did Ryan know his dad had a surprise for him.
"They were talking and I was like "is this a good spot," and he kind of looked at me surprised," said airman Aaron Rozett.
Everything went as Aaron and his wife had planned over Skype, except Ryan saw the video camera and became shy. Nonetheless, Ryan said he was happy his dad was home, after being deployed in Afghanistan for 5-months.
Aaron also surprised his two other children, a 21-month-old girl and a 5-month old boy. The latter was born 10-days after his father was deployed, making Sunday's visit extra special for the Rozetts.
Aaron says after working with water fuel systems overseas, he's looking forward to spending his two-weeks off from work with his family.
