Posted:

Sheridan police are investigating a stabbing that happened Thursday night at an apartment complex.

According to a news release, officers were dispatched to 849 Dunnuck Street around 9:00 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, two witnesses had a 43-year-old man pinned to the ground.

At first report, the stabbing occurred after a disagreement over how some plants outside the complex had been planted by one of the tenants.  Both the man and a 47-year-old female victim are tenants at the complex.

Police say the man became more upset during the disagreement and retrieved a knife and attacked the woman, stabbing her with the knife several times.

Both were transported by ambulance to the Sheridan Memorial Hospital for treatment.  The extent of the injuries are unknown at this time.
