Several fires have been contained after Wednesday night's thunderstorms rolled through the Hills.

Remington Fire - 5 acres - 14 miles south of Sundance, WY - 100% contained

Carroll Creek Fire - 1 acre - 3 miles NW of Pringle, SD - started by lightning - 100% contained

Green Mountain Fire - .1 acre - southeast of Deerfield lake - started by lightning - 100% contained

Argyle Loop - .5 acres - near Argyle, SD - human caused - 100% contained

Fire restrictions remain in effect for the Black Hills Forest Fire Protection District, which encompasses Meade, Pennington, Custer and Fall River. NO campfires are allowed in the black Hills Forest Fire Protection District. This includes all Federal, State, Local and private campgrounds.
