After a month–long campaign, one KOTA Territory
bank delivers on the diapers.
Throughout June, Black Hills Community Bank hosted its second
annual diaper drive.
Employees and customers collected $25,000 worth of diapers.
Tuesday morning, the bank delivered the diapers to the Cornerstone
Rescue Mission's Dear One's Daycare.
The facility provides childcare services for homeless
families and parents trying to get back on their feet.
Administrators say the 13,000 diapers will make a huge
difference.
"When the diapers come in, it helps us offset our program
dollars so that way those dollars that we normally use to pay for the
diapers can be used on other items in the program to keep the program
sufficient," said Lisa Swallow, Executive Director of the Cornerstone Rescue Mission.
Even though the diaper drive is over, Cornerstone is always
accepting donations.
