Fire crews get upper hand on wild fires in KOTA Territory

Fire Updates: Monday July 9

Cooperative weather and cool temperatures were beneficial in the containment fire in KOTA Territory. Crews continued ed monitoring hot spots and are in the mop up process of the fires.

White Draw (Edgemont): 9,000 acres and 100% contained.

Parker Peak (Edgemont): 650 acres and 100% contained.

Highlands (Custer): 394 acres and 100% contained.

Oil Creek (Newcastle, WY): 62,318 and 95% contained.

Ash Creek (Lame Deer, MT): 249,562 acres and 85% contained.
