Allison Marsland has been promoted to fill the recently created position of Assistant City Attorney for Ordinance Enforcement in Rapid City.
City Attorney Joel Landeen says the position will focus on achieving compliance with the City's ordinances and will specifically focus on issues with substandard housing in Rapid City.
Marsland has a Bachelor's degree from Minot State University in North Dakota and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota. She has been with the City Attorney's Office since March of 2011. Prior to working at the City Attorney's Office she was a law clerk for the Seventh Judicial Circuit in Rapid City.
