"Think" sign erected for Rapid City man

Posted:

A "Think" sign now marks the spot where a Rapid City man was struck and killed by a drunk driver.

Fifty-one–year old Terry Brown died in December after being hit by a car near the railroad tracks on Milwaukee Street in North Rapid.

Kenneth Williams, the driver of that car, was drunk at the time.

Brown's sister April Obr says family members often drive by the railroad tracks where Brown was hit. She says this sign will help them remember but also send a message about the consequences of drinking and driving.

"Us as victims we feel it every day. We miss him so much, it's just you know going around the corner we think we see him or something. It's just he's always with us in spirit," said Obr.

Williams is currently charged with second degree manslaughter and out on bond. The case is still pending, but his attorney Tim Rensch says there is evidence that could prove Williams didn't cause Brown's death.
