Rapid City, S.D. – Rapid City Police Chief Steve Allender announced multiple promotions within the Rapid City Police Department, effective immediately:
Captain Karl Jegeris has been promoted to Assistant Chief. He joined the RCPD in 1995, and later served as a school liaison officer. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2004, to Lieutenant in 2007, and to Captain in 2010. He received the Exceptional Duty Medal in 2010 for his efforts to strengthen the relationship between the Department and Native American community.
Lieutenant Dan Rud has been promoted to Captain and will be assigned as the Field Services Commander. He joined the RCPD in 1985, and later served as a school liaison officer. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2000, and to Lieutenant in 2004.
Sergeant Mark Eisenbraun has been promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the Field Services Division. He joined the RCPD as a reserve officer in 1994, and was hired as a full-time officer in 1996. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2008.
Sergeant Tom Senesac has been promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division. He joined the RCPD in 1985, and was promoted to Sergeant in 2008.
Sergeant Elias Diaz has been promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the Support Services Division. He joined the RCPD in 1998, and was promoted to Sergeant in 2005.
Detective Kyle Fees has been promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the Field Services Division. He joined the RCPD in 1998, and was assigned as a detective in 2004.
Detective Andy Becker has been promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the Field Services Division. He joined the RCPD in 2004, and assigned as a detective in 2010.
