At least ten search agencies spent time and resources
searching for a missing teenager whose body was discovered last week in Deerfield Lake. And Tuesday, those agencies are getting a pat on the back.
At the Pennington County Commission meeting this morning, Chief Deputy Brian Mueller took the opportunity to recognize those who worked
tirelessly to find 15 year old Justin Lewis.
Mueller said the recovery wouldn't have been possible
without multi–agency cooperation, and each agency's willingness to provide
the necessary resources.
"It's very satisfying to me to know that I live and
work in a community where resources are able to think outside of jurisdictional
lines and unselfishly donate time and resources for this type of operation to
help bring closure to Justin's family," said Mueller.
The search lasted 17 days
and at times had more than 500 people involved.
