Crazy Horse Stampede Rodeo rumbles into weekend

Posted:

The three day Crazy Horse Stampede Rodeo kicked off Friday morning at 10 a.m.

This rodeo blends Native American rodeo with action sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, making it unique to the area.

This rodeo features many nationally-ranked competitors. Some big-name stars include last year's Great Plains Indian Rodeo all-around title holder, Shadow Jensen, women's all-around leader, Kaycee Werdel, and senior men's leader, Jake Longbrake.

"The field of competitors has grown nearly 49 percent from a year ago," said Circuit Secretary Susan Heathershaw-Kolb.

The Crazy Horse Stampede continues Saturday and Sunday.
