It was a different kind of march on Sunday in Rapid City where more than a hundred people stood together, some hand in hand.
Their goal is to raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes through the March for Babies.
Organizers say today's march is expected to raise nearly $40,000 dollars for the cause.
About 75 percent of that money will stay here in South Dakota to support local families.
The rest of the funds will go toward research.
A local couple received help from the charity after losing their daughter, born at just 23 weeks.
Since then they have been working closely with the March of Dimes
"It's been an honor and it's been a great way for us to
do something positive in our loss of our daughter and really stand together as
a family."said Dionne Roberts and Andrew Berry.
They also say they want to provide support for other families in the area who are going through the same thing.
