SD, ND governors want flag tribute for slain police

       BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) _ The governors of North Dakota and
South Dakota are requesting a flag tribute for law enforcement
officer who have died on the job.
       North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple is ordering state government
agencies to fly their American and North Dakota flags at half-staff
on Tuesday from sunrise to sunset.
       South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard is asking South Dakotans
to fly their flags at half-staff at their homes, offices and businesses
on Tuesday.
       The flag tribute is part of a national Peace Officers Memorial
Day on Tuesday. President Barack Obama has proclaimed this week as
Police Week.
