Wyoming students improve national science test scores

Posted:

Wyoming students scored higher on a national science test in 2011 than they did two years before.

The National Assessment of Educational Progress, or NAEP, tests eighth graders on various topics.

Wyoming students had an average score of 160 on last year's science test. It's an increase of just two points from 2009, but that bump is considered significant.

The national average is 151.

South Dakota was one of five states that scored better than Wyoming.
