Rapid City Easter egg hunt draws more than 500

Sunday, Christians will celebrate the holy day of Easter. Saturday, children across KOTA Territory take to the fields to find eggs filled with candy.

Valley View Elementary in Rapid City was the place for one of the bigger Easter egg hunts.

More than 500 kids in four age groups searched for 1,500 eggs, and as usual they all were found in only a couple minutes.

Other activities included a bouncy house, pin the tail on the Easter bunny, and other games.

A lucky few families walked away with prizes including bikes, movie packs, and gift cards.

This is the third year Hills of Grace Fellowship has hosted the event.

"We just wanted a way to let the community know that we're here to serve them, so it's a way we can do that; and just a safe way that families can enjoy each other, have fun together, and have a beneficial experience," said Justin Dancer, pastor of the Hills of Grace Fellowship.
