Habitat for Humanity dedicates new home

Posted:

A KOTA Territory family celebrated a huge milestone today ... Thanks to area volunteers and a little hard work of their own.

Nick and Brandy Ringheimer are the recipients of this remodeled house on West Chicago Street.

This is the 69th house "Habitat For Humanity" has helped build or remodel in the area.

It's also the first house dedicated this year.

The ringheimer's new home is the result of their hard sweat and the community's.

Executive Director of the Black Hills Area Habitat For Humanity, Scott Engmann said "We celebrate the fact, our community, whether it's churches, service clubs, individuals, companies have come together to say, we care about those who need a decent place to live, so we'll contribute our time & resources to make sure these homes get built & homes get improved."

To qualify for a Habitat For Humanity home, each adult must donate 250 hours of "sweat equity."
