1/2 c butter
1/4 c cocoa
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
Melt butter and let cool. Add cocoa and stir. Add sugar, eggs (one at a time) and vanilla; stir. Add flour and salt and stir until well-blended.
Pour into a greases 8x8x2 pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a 350-degree oven or until a toothpick poked in center comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Cool in pan on wire rack.
FROSTING:
1 c powdered sugar
2 TB cocoa
1 TB soft butter
1-1 1/2 TB warm water
Combine sugar and cocoa; add butter and warm water and mix until blended. Spread on cooled brownies. When frosting is set cut into 16 pieces and enjoy! This is a great recipe for kids to make.
