His military-style of management (and shall we say) sailor-like vocabulary made us laugh and cringe at times. But after 18 years with Duhamel Broadcasting, Jack Siebold is retiring at 56 years young.
Much of that time was spent as assignment editor, choosing the stories that air daily, though his passion for reporting remained strong. He was recognized for this investigative piece on the Hunt Building Corporation in 1996.
Jack said Friday that he will miss the high he got from the job, something he says is a "good" thing.
"I will miss the people, the job, the station. And, that's good because if you do retire and you don't miss it, then you retired too late," Jack Siebold said.
Jack spent 20 years in the Air Force as a journalist before coming to KOTA.
