Isis donates day's profits to soccer complex

A local organization's goal is to build a 21-field soccer complex in Rapid City.  Saturday, an area business kick starts that organization's latest fundraising campaign.

As part of the yearly Isis Gives Back benefit, 100 percent of the day's profits at the Watiki Waterpark, Fairfield and Laquinta Inns, and Sliders will go toward the Rapid City soccer complex.

The 21-field complex would located just north of I-90 exit 61 on Elk Vale Road.

Representatives say they hope to raise $100,000 toward the $10 to $12 million project.

"Soccer impacts the largest share of kids in the community there's over 4,000 kids and adults that play soccer in Rapid City directly. And then of course, active kids are healthier kids," said Soccer Rapid City director Jason Eatherton.

Eatherton says project funding has a long way to go. The organization must meet a goal of 6.2 million dollars before the city will kick in 3.8 million dollars in vision 2012 funds.
