The sentencing of a Keystone woman charged with the attempted murder of her husband threw State's Attorneys and even the judge for a loop.
Evelyn Hunsaker was accused of shooting her husband last year.
She had pled guilty to accessory to a felony, as part of a plea deal with the state.
Monday, Judge Mary Thorstenson admitted the out–pouring of support from the victim, Michael Hunsaker, and their family was so overwhelming, it was hard to tell what actually happened on the day of the shooting.
Hunsaker was sentenced to 5 years, but will serve only 60 days in the penitentiary.
Michael Hunsaker has adamantly denied it was his wife that shot him in their Keystone home, despite evidence from ballistics experts.
