Former Chadron State running and Nebraska native Danny Woodhead will be playing with the San Diego Chargers for a couple more years now. That's because Woodhead inked a two year contract extension this week.

According to media reports Woodhead will earn a little over 7 million the next three years. He will have a base salary of 750 thousand this year and 1.5 million next season and then 2 million in 2016. He was given a 3 million dollar signing bonus.

Woodhead is expected to be in a running back rotation that features starter Ryan Matthews and Donald Brown.
