Yesterday, softball–size hail peppered cars, shattered windshields, and the winds toppled trees into homes. Now insurance agents are the busiest they've been all summer.
Insurance agents say that claims poured in immediately following the storm, and weren't just about cracked windshields.
Some cars had all their windows and sunroofs smashed, and most cars in the storm's path now sport ugly dimples.
This morning, homeowners in Hot Springs were also assessing the damage.
Some agencies received as many as ten calls in an hour and a half this morning.
"Sometimes Mother Nature gets a little violent and that makes us really busy. What we do is bring in extra help on the claim side, so we'll have adjusters come in from maybe other areas of the country," says Scott Carlson, an insurance agent.
That extra help speeds up the repairs and helps people with claims get their checks faster.
