PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Former South Dakota lawmaker Ron Volesky of Huron says his campaign for the Democratic nomination to run for governor will be managed by his son, Tucker, a high school sophomore.
Volesky says his son has been interested in politics from an early age. He says that when he served in the South Dakota Legislature, his son followed him through the halls of the state Capitol in Pierre many times.
Volesky is 1 of 2 Democrats seeking their party's nomination to run for governor. The other is state Senate Democratic Leader Scott Heidepriem of Sioux Falls.
