LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Four Nebraska schools districts have been recognized by Gov. Dave Heineman for doing a good job of involving parents in their children's educations.
The Governor's Education Initiative Awards for Parental Involvement went to the Cozad, Kearney, Millard and Sutherland districts.
The Nebraska Association of School Boards joined the governor in recognizing the school districts for encouraging parents to get engaged.
Each school district will receive $1,000.
