OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Douglas County officials believe severe heart disease may have caused the death of a man held at the Douglas County Corrections Center.
Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine (KLINE) revealed that preliminary finding Tuesday. He said tests were pending to determine whether other factors might have played a role in the death of 58-year-old Richard A. Davis Jr.
Davis was found unresponsive in his cell early Sunday and pronounced dead not long after. Medical staff had tried to revive him.
Davis was arrested in January and charged with being in possession of pornography, possession of child pornography and intent to distribute child pornography.
