KOTA Territory NewsMan dies in early morning crash

A 23-year-old Rapid City man was killed in a one-car crash early Monday morning. The state highway patrol says Kyle Wade Maldacker was killed when the car he was driving went off of North Haines Avenue, and hit a tree. The patrol says Maldacker wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car. A passenger in the car, 20-year-old Taccara Jo Leclair, also of Rapid City, was seriously injured. Investigators said speed and alcohol likely were factors in the crash.
