RAPID CITY S.D. (KOTA TV) - Parts of Downtown Rapid City were blocked off to make room for people with wine filled glasses and local bands.
Main Street was barricaded for the 7th Annual Art and Wine Festival.
Guests filled the streets to explore a variety of flavorful wines, shop at the more than thirty vendors lined up along the streets, and enjoy Rapid’s local bands.
Main Street Square event director, Elizabeth Smith said it's a way for the community to become more aware of what local business and artists have to offer.
"We can recognition the local artist that we have in our community and also bring recognition to the local wineries,” said Smith.
The festive event captured the attention of one Spearfish family.
"It's a lot of fun,” said Spearfish attendant, Robert Dahlenburg. “The music is great and the wine is excellent so I'm definitely coming back next year."
Every year the event is held at Main Street Square and is free to the public.
