STURGIS, S.D. (KOTA TV) - The third annual “Taste of Sturgis” saw nearly 200 people come through the doors of the Boulder Canyon Station Convention Center.
The Taste of Sturgis featured area restaurants showcasing their favorite food. Participating restaurants include Elk Creek Steakhouse, Jambonz Grill, Loud American Roadhouse, Sidehack Saloon, The Knuckle Saloon and Weimer’s Diner and Donuts. All raising money towards the Sturgis and Meade County Historical Society.
"We got all kinds of support throughout the community. Throughout the county really. And that's what we're really trying to engender. We're trying to come up with a sense of history for the whole area. It just doesn't limit itself to Sturgis or to Meade County, it extends out to the whole Black Hills Area,” said Mark Rambow, Sturgis and Meade County Historical Society President.
The fundraiser helps the society gear up for their 140th anniversary this summer.
