SPEARFISH, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Jackson Road in Spearfish will be receiving a face lift.
As of right now, city officials are in the final design phase and will start the bidding process later this year.
They anticipate construction starting at the beginning of 2018 and costing between seven and eight million dollars.
In addition to road construction, there are a handful of other improvements that will take place as well.
Spearfish City Engineer, Kyle Mathis, says in addition to the road construction, “Street scaping, we are looking at storm drainage improvements, replacing the old infrastructure underneath, and as well as landscaping and other improvements to kind of improve the look of the whole corridor.”
The Jackson Road project is predicted to go on for two years, finishing at the end of 2019.
