WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - Lawmakers on Capitol Hill are reacting to President Donald Trump's conservative Supreme Court pick - Neil Gorsuch. Washington bureau chief Jacqueline Policastro spoke with republican Senator Mike Rounds about the nomination process.
“What will this mean for people in South Dakota?” asked Policastro. Republican Senator Mike Rounds responded, “This is one of the reasons a lot of people voted for President Trump. He said he would pick a conservative justice for the Supreme Court to replace Justice Scalia.”
Rounds believes the confirmation process could take several months and that Republicans will allow the Democrats to fume a little bit and protest somewhat, but will eventually confirm him to the Supreme Court.
