Sioux Park could be the new hot spot for summer food trucks

RAPID CITY S.D. (KOTA TV) - For the first time in Rapid City, shish kabobs, burgers, barbecue and more were all available at one location, and all on wheels.

Food trucks are a recent trend in Rapid, and Tuesday a group of them gathered at Sioux Park.

About five different food vendors lined the parking lot for hungry park goers to grab delicious food on the go.

Some of the favorites were 'The Good Stuffed' and 'Nosh' to name a few.

Owners of ' The Good Stuffed and 'Smoking Hot Catering' came up with the idea and are hoping to make Sioux Park the go to place on Tuesdays for families to grab meals on wheels.

"It's so good, we went to The Good Stuffed and my god it was good,” said park goer, Owen Kennedy. “It made my day and pulled me through finals."

"The foods good and it’s reasonably priced so I don't see why we wouldn't come out again,” said park goer, Eric Csapo.

Organizers said they would like to have more food trucks join and hope to continue to serve up tasty meals every Tuesday through the summer from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
