RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Two robberies, one of them armed, were reported in Rapid City Tuesday night.
The armed robbery happened around 11:50 p.m. at the Loaf N Jug on the 2700 block of East Highway 44.
Police say a man, brandishing a pistol, demanded money from the store’s clerk. The robber then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He is described as being between 19 to 21 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with an average build. He was wearing a white stocking cap, black jacket and jeans, lighter colored shoes, a red bandanna over his face and white latex gloves.

The second robbery, which police believe is not connected to the armed robbery, was about a half hour earlier at the Jackpot Casino Too on the 1400 block of North Lacrosse Street.
The casino worker told police he was in the back office when two men entered the casino and went to the back room where they took an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe.
The suspects were wearing heavy dark coats with hoods over their heads and blue bandannas over their faces. One of the suspects is heavyset and was wearing khaki pants and white shoes. The second suspect is average build, and was wearing dark pants and bright blue running shoes.
