RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Visitors to the Kids Zone in the Museum of Geology in Rapid City will see some changes.
The area was recently renovated and includes new features such as an eight-foot fossil track activity, upgraded exhibits and kid’s furniture.
“My purpose in revamping the Museum of Geology’s Kids Zone was to provide a fun and educational experience that highlights many of the extinct animals from South Dakota that we have on display in the museum,” said Danielle Serratos, assistant director of the Museum of Geology.
The museum is free to the public and offers guided tours, paleontological field trips for high school students, and special events such as Night at the Museum.
The Museum of Geology is on the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Campus.
