Regional Health employees didn't see scheduled paychecks

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - Rapid City Regional Hospital are having some issues paying their employees Friday, July 7,2017.

Regional employee's received an email this morning letting them know that there was an issue and that their paychecks would not be on time.

The email states that there was a technical issue and that they were anticipating paychecks be deposited by the end of the day Friday.

This is what the email read:

"Dear Caregivers,

We anticipate all Regional Health paychecks will be deposited into caregiver accounts by the end of today, July 7. We regret any inconvenience caused by today’s delay. It was the result of technical issues related to the transfer of funds to the bank. The problem was not related to Regional Health’s recent change to Workday, the new human resources and payroll system.

We anticipate deposit availability earlier in the day on future payroll dates. We will immediately alert caregivers if there are updates or changes. In the meantime, if you have urgent matters, please contact Payroll." "Again, we regret this circumstance, and we thank you for your patience.

Sincerely,

Paulette Davidson
COO and Regional Health Rapid City Hospital President."

Some of the people who we talked to said by 3:00 PM they finally saw their paychecks on their bank statements.

But we do not know if everyone has been paid yet.

The problem was not related to Regional Health's recent change to a new human resources and payroll system.

We tried to reach out to Regional Health to talk about the problem but they declined to comment on camera and only sent us a copy of the email sent to their employees.
