RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - 29-year-old Zachary Swisher of Rapid City is facing up to 30 years in prison after he pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of sexual contact with a child under 16.
Swisher reached an agreement with the state to plead guilty to the two counts of sexual contact and the original six counts of first degree rape were dropped.
Swisher admitted in court Tuesday morning to molesting the boys, who were six and seven at the time, while babysitting them at their home in October of 2015.
Each count has a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison with a minimum of 10 years and a fine of up to $30,000.
Swisher was out on a $200,000 bond but Judge Robert Mandel demanded he remain in custody until his sentencing date on April 25.
