Rapid City casino worker thwarts armed robbery

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - A pair of armed robbers hit the King of Hearts Casino on the 2800 block of West Main Street Wednesday night.

Police say the worker told them two men, one with a pistol, came into the casino and demanded money. The worker activated the panic alarm and both men fled without getting any money.

The suspect with the gun is about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing a gray sweater with a black vest and a red bandanna over his face. The second suspect is described as 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thicker build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweater with a red bandanna over his face.
