Rapid City Public Library remains open during remodeling

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) - An update to public areas at the Rapid City Public Library is set to begin January 17, 2017. This project will include new carpet, paint, signage and a reconfiguration of shelves and materials in the downstairs main floor area.

There is no plan to close the library while the work is being completed. Staff members will be available to provide assistance to our users. The library’s many programs for all ages will also continue during the remodel.

Library services at the North library at General Beadle Elementary and online will also remain available – reference questions by phone, email or text; research databases and our online archives.

Access the library’s 263,000 digital eBooks, audiobooks, streaming movies and television, music albums and magazines through the library’s website.

Rapid City Public Library appreciates the community’s patience and support as they work to update their facility.
